Waterfront, luxurious 5-star hotel located next to the Jinji Lake and Harmony Times Square.
Recognized as the ‘ Venice of the Orient’ (and rightly so!), Suzhou is a highly desirable destination all year round. Suzhou is only a 45-minute train ride from where I live in Shanghai and has plenty of cultural history, this equates to several tasty meals and a nice hotel stay!
I stayed at the InterContinental Hotel and had a marvelous weekend getaway with my boys. The suite we stayed at was the Club Premier Suite and had a stunning panoramic view of Jinji Lake and Harmony Times Square. The Lounge up on the 27th floor was spectacular and I’d say by far one of the best I’ve had experienced in China. While we’re talking about the Lounge, I’ll have to mention the gorgeous view. It was really nice to observe the grand skyline of the city. Better yet was enjoying the view with some great food (and drinks!) at the Lounge! The main restaurant area where the breakfast buffet is served was also quite impressive and with lots of great options to choose from. The location was perfect and with easy access to restaurants and shopping.
