A Culinary Destination In Curitiba, Brazil: Restaurante Manu

MANU_RESTAURANT_01

As per ‘The World 50 Best Restaurants s review, Manuela Manu Buffara has become one of Latin America’s hottest young chefs of her generation.

The 3 set menus available at the restaurant (3 courses, 7 courses or 11 courses) are emphasized with local and sustainable ingredients and lots of creativeness. Did I mention she has worked at places such as Noma, Da Vittorio & Guido e Alinea?

I let myself get into this festive show and what was about to follow was a beautiful, intriguing symphony of culinary works that included: an initial variation of Brazilian staples (Inhame, Macaroon, Oyster, Spinach, Tainha Eggs, Cheese Bread, Raw Beef, and Taco Vieira); followed by Melão na Brasa; Salad na Brasa; Peixe-Pera and Cogumelo; Lagostin de Caju; Entrecot; and Yogurt de Morango.

Overall, I loved discovering this intimate spot and surprising combinations, not forgetting to mention an attentive waiter who comes around the tables, explaining each dish with warmth and simplicity.

Definitely worth a visit when in Curitiba!
