If you’re familiar with Hong Kong , you probably know that The Peninsula Hotel is the most famous in the region. Just as equally as famous is their Afternoon Tea that takes place in the hotel’s lovely lobby, known for their exceptional tea service. But, for this trip, my husband and I opted to have our ‘high tea’ at Felix Restaurant, which is located on the 28th floor, so we both could enjoy beautiful sunset views of Victoria Harbour.
The restaurant interior is a piece of art itself; created by no one other than Philippe Starck, one of the most renowned avant-garde designers in the world. We saved the Swiss herb tea for last and opted for the Deutz Peninsula Brut Champagne option to make sure we really enjoyed ourselves and our alone time without the kids. The selection of fingers sandwiches, home-made pastries, freshly baked scones and preserves were beautifully decorated with a festive holiday theme in mind, and the tower of treats looked gorgeous! The service was prompt and always ready to pour us more champagne to make sure we were happy. I can appreciate that very well!
The overall experience was unique and definitely lovely. As expected, The Peninsula Hotel offers meticulous attention to detail and rituals which can’t be replicated elsewhere. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Hong Kong.
